PULP CAPPING

We try our very best to save the tooth from a root canal treatment whenever possible. We carry out this procedure in case of extremely deep dental decay. Here a medicinal filling material is applied as a base followed by the tooth coloured filling material. This is our effort made to save the tooth form a root canal treatment which works in most cases. But,it's not a guarantee.

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

When the dental decay reaches the pulp of the tooth which is that part where the nerve and blood supply is present, then a root canal treatment needs to be done on the affected tooth. Your symptoms could be tooth ache the entire night or on eating hot and cold food, etc. We verify the case with a digital xray before we start.

We perform Single sitting root canal and multiple sitting root canal procedures depending on the case.

Root canals are efforts made by the dentist to prevent tooth extraction due to extensive decay. If this is also avoided whenever indicated, the tooth may have to be extracted in the future.

Extraction

We believe in conservation of teeth as there is no replacement to a natural tooth.However, certain situations may warrant removal of certain teeth which may include teeth destroyed severely due to caries/decayvery loose teeth, cracked teeth, etc. Therapeautic extractions may also be advised like extractions done for braces in case of lack of spaces in the jaw.

Preventive extractions of wisdom teeth is what we advice on early signs of wisdom tooth problems.

Removable options

These can be considered for one/many/all teeth. They are of the types mentioned below-

Acrylic denture

They could be partial or complete depending on the number of teeth lost.They could also be rigid or flexible.

Cast partial denture

These dentures have a metal framework and work great in terms of fit and stability of the denture in the mouth. Fixed Options-These options are given depending on the type of the underlying bone,number of teeth to be replaced and number of adjacent tooth/teeth support.

Bridge

A bridge is a fixed dental prosthesis which takes the support of adjacent teeth to replacing the missing tooth/teeth.A bridge is made of multiple materials.

Implant

Implants are a titanium replica of tooth roots,placed inside the bone,on which,a crown can be screwed or cemented.

ORTHODONTICS (BRACES)

Braces are the most non invasive way to straighten or align your teeth.With the correct placement of your teeth the chances of dental decay and dental tartar formation reduces to a great extent.

There is no age for braces but the best time to do it is in the child’s growing years to as the growth and development of jaws can be used to the childs’s benefit.

First consult should be done at about 7 -8 years to get a rough idea on when to start.
